Survey on major insect pests of groundnut in Southern Telangana zone

Survey on major insect pests of groundnut was carried out in Southern Telangana Zone comprising the three districts viz., Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool and Wanaparthy at stages crop growth period vegetative, pod formation maturity for identification pest scenario. In all mean percent damage per plant (14.50-18.85%) no. larva (0.90-1.05) tobacco caterpillar were comparatively higher stage while infested plants more during (38.60-40.30%). With respect to gram caterpillar, (2.90-3.60%) (12.80-18.50%) case leaf miner mining (1.75-3.10%) vegetative (7.80-9.50%) greater stage. The sucking leafhoppers thrips recorded be (2.37-2.47 3.92-4.02, respectively).
